The National Park Rincón de la Vieja that is situated quite close to the Nicaragua border must be quite similar to the African savanna, only the animals are missing! There are lavender plants and other species on the ”savanna” and in the forest more species like the acacia that lives in symbiosis with the ants. However, in the forest you must not deviate from the walking tracks as there are lots of poisonous snakes like the bushmaster and the "fer-de-lance" (terciopelo) etc. 

 Nationalparken Rincón de la Vieja som ligger ganska nära den nicaraguanska gränsen måste vara ganska lik den afrikanska savannen, det enda som saknas är djuren! Det finns lavendelplantor och andra arter på ”savannen” och i skogen ytterligare arter som t.ex. akacian som lever i symbios med myrorna. I skogen bör man dock inte avvika från promenadstigarna eftersom det finns många giftormar här som buskmästare, lansormar etc. 
 
Rincón de la Vieja es una región con tanta actividad volcánica con fumarolas, géisers y un lago de azufre. Todo el parque es muy impresionante e interesante y vale verdaderamente visitarlo!

 Rincón de la Vieja is a region with high volcanic activity with torrents of smoke, geysers and a sulfur lake. The whole park is very impressing and interesting and it´s really well worth a visit!

 Rincón de la Vieja är ett område med hög vulkanisk aktivitet som yttrar sig i rökkaskader, gejsrar och bland annat en svavelsjö. Hela parken är mycket imponerande och intressant och den är väl värd ett besök!
